Additionally, we host several Intensive Retreats that are open to all ages. Please watch our social media and sign up for our newsletter for announcements regarding our latest opportunities.

Is LEGACY affiliated with any denomination?LEGACY is not a part of any denomination and is itself not a proponent of any particular denomination, movement, ministry, or man (1 Cor. 1:10, 13). We are simply endeavoring to live Christian lives that reflect the New Testament as we serve Christ’s Body at large (1 Cor. 4:1). “In one Spirit we were all baptized into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit” (1 Cor. 12:13). LEGACY wholeheartedly welcomes students into the training from every denominational background, but cannot guarantee our methodology to be similar. We welcome both Catholics and Protestants with liturgical, evangelical, or charismatic backgrounds but will not fall clearly into any of these “categories.” Our focus is the corporate aspect of the Body of Christ with its many unique and gifted members and not any specific popular movement (1 Cor. 12:4–7). Instead of focusing on the particular differences among Christians, at LEGACY, we choose to focus on the centrality of Jesus Christ and the shared reality of our common faith in Him (Jude 3).

Can I rent the campus for corporate retreats or family gatherings? When time allows, we love opening our property to church groups, friends, families, and individuals who want to retreat at the lake. Contact us if you are interested in having a retreat at LEGACY. hello@legacyministries.com
-
Can I use the property for a private retreat getaway?Yes, insofar it doesn't clash with other scheduled events. Contact us to inquire about availability. hello@legacyministries.com

What does the property include?Guest and students stay in our gals’ and guys’ houses. Each house has a full kitchen, communal living room, and laundry room. Each room has four comfortable, custom bunk beds with a curtain, shelf, reading light, and a shared bathroom and closet. We also have a two-bedroom guest house for couples and families upon request. Classes, worship, and meals all take place at the Lodge. We also have full-time staff housing on the property and a lakefront, volleyball beach, and beautiful surrounding forests.
-
Do you provide scholarship funding? We generally want students to have "skin in the game" when attending LEGACY. We provide ample information that benefit those who follow the information. However, should you be in a situation requiring scholarship funding, we are open to having that conversation with you. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us and allow us to hear your story. hello@legacyministries.com

How many semesters do you offer?Currently, we offer two 9-week semesters, one in the Summer and one in the Fall. We also offer 3-day and 5-day Intensives if you would like to get a taste of the rhythm and teachings of our school.
-
Can I sign up for the 1st and 2nd semesters at once?If you know you would like to apply for both the first and second semesters, please indicate so on your application, and we will discuss the opportunity during your interview.
-
What is the ideal age to attend LEGACY School Of Discipleship?LEGACY typically accepts students into the training between ages 18 and 30. However, we do not limit our semesters to any specific age range. We have found that those with some measure of "life experience" are able to process the spiritual and practical teaching best. Therefore, we propose you attend when you're in your twenties. Keeping this in mind, we will not limit our acceptance to a semester based on age alone.
-
How many student attend LEGACY on average?LEGACY accepts, on average, 20 to 25 students only. We strategically limit ourselves to this number for ministry intentionality and effectiveness. LEGACY does not aim to be "mega." What makes this ministry unique is its focus on the individual as a person and not a number. Jesus had 12 disciples. It seems that Paul trained about 8.

Where will I live if I attend the Discipleship School? You will live in our gals’ and guys’ houses for the semester. Each house has a communal living room, laundry room, and full kitchen. Each bedroom has four comfortable, custom bunk beds with a curtain, shelf, reading light, and a shared bathroom and closet.

How structured are the days?We like to implement a schedule that cultivates a steady rhythm for everyone. Most mornings and afternoons consist of classes with Francois or other faculty. Some afternoons, we have group projects around the property and various electives. Meals are always eaten together as a group (except for breakfast, which is at your own pace). Every afternoon, you have free time, and some nights, we have evening activities such as small groups, movie nights, corporate worship, group games, and sunset boat cruises. Weekends are typically very unstructured and laid back. We desire that your days are full but not overwhelming. We expect all students to steward their time and sleep well to be fully present and engaged in every activity.
-
Will I be mentored? As a discipleship school, one of our greatest joys is to pour ourselves into our students' lives. We are always available for one-on-one prayer and mentorship. We will sometimes look back into your past with you for healing prayer as needed. However, most of the time, we will mentor and coach you into the practical applications of life in Christ Jesus. To be sure, we will not have answers for everything, but we would love to partner with you in your growth process.
-
How many 2nd semester opportunities do you offer?Currently, we are offering our second semester in the Fall of 2024. We hope to launch Summer and Fall opportunities for our second semester in 2025. These semesters will take place in conjunction with our first semester of programming.
-
How long can I wait after my first semester to do a second? While ideally, students would be able to do their first semester in the summer and their second the following fall, no gap between semesters would disqualify anyone. If the Lord puts it on your heart to receive additional training, we would love to have you back in the Lord's timing.
-
How many students do you accept for the Fall?In Fall 2024, we will offer 6 spots for second-semester students. We do this to ensure that these students receive plenty of one-on-one mentorship as they practice what they learned during their first semester. Since our first-semester programming will also take place during the same time frame, second-semester students can expect an additional 20 or so students on campus.
-
What does the structure look like for second-semester students? The second semester will differ from the first semester in structure. While you will still receive teaching and take part in classes, your time will also include much more independent study, practice, leadership, and a small amount of on-campus work. We want to shift these students from "sitting" to "walking" in the Spirit.
